Fruit Peel

A fruit peel, also known as the skin or rind, is the outer protective layer of a fruit. It can refer to the outer layer of edible fruits like oranges and apples, but also the outer covering of non-edible items like shrimp or onions. Fruit peels are composed of various compounds like cellulose, pectin, antioxidants, and minerals. Additionally, fruit peels are used in cosmetic treatments called fruit acid peels, which exfoliate the skin and promote a brighter complexion.
